Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Ledga (“we”, “us”) and apply when you use the Ledga app and website. By creating an account or using Ledga, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Ledga.

2. What Ledga does

Ledga reads transaction alert emails from supported Nigerian banks in a mailbox you connect, and shows you your transactions, balances and spending. It does this on your phone. Ledga is not a bank, does not hold or move money, and is not connected to your bank accounts.

3. Not financial advice

Ledga is a tool for understanding your own spending. Nothing in Ledga is financial, tax, investment or legal advice.

4. Accuracy

Ledga relies on the content and format of your bank's alert emails. Banks change their emails, alerts can be missing or delayed, and parsing can make mistakes. Balances and totals shown in Ledga may not match your bank. Always check your bank's official records before making a financial decision.

5. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Give accurate information and keep your password safe.
• Only connect mailboxes that belong to you.
• You are responsible for activity on your account.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse Ledga. That includes trying to access other people's data, interfering with or overloading our servers, reverse engineering the service to attack it, or using Ledga for anything unlawful.

7. Your data

Your transaction data is stored on your device and belongs to you. How we handle the limited data on our servers is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Third-party services

Ledga works with services we don't control, including Google (Gmail sign-in and access) and Apple (the App Store and notifications). Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. When you connect Gmail, you choose to give Ledga read-only access, and you can remove it at any time from your Google Account permissions.

9. Our intellectual property

The Ledga app, website, name and logo belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app.

10. Changes to Ledga

We may change, add or remove features, including which banks are supported, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. We'll try to give notice of significant changes.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Ledga and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. The sections on accuracy, intellectual property and liability continue to apply after your account ends.

12. Disclaimers and liability

Ledga is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by inaccurate data, missing alerts, or decisions you make based on what Ledga shows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.

13. Apple App Store

If you downloaded Ledga from the Apple App Store:

• These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Ledga and its content.
• Your licence to use Ledga is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Ledga.
• If Ledga fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Ledga.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims relating to Ledga, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection or privacy claims, and claims that it infringes someone's intellectual property.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using Ledga after a change, you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
